ERROR 3 Message

Every time I re-boot or start my computer I get an ( MBR ERROR 3 ) message flash on my screen. My guess is that it is a Master Boot Record error.

What does this mean to me and how would I fix it?

Thanks for any help on this.

CLY.

Oh, by the way...  Im running Windows Vista Home Premium, 64-bit Operating System with service pack 2 and an Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q9400 with 6 GB of ram. This information may or may not be nessary so just in case, I included it.  Thanks again.

Hi,

This could be a serious error and "may" not be repairable without professional tech support from
a real computer shop (not leeks and peeks at a BestBuy or other BigBox Stores) or your System
maker's Support.

Here are the troubleshooting methods to try to fix the issue :

You may need to try several of the commands here from your Windows Disk - Command Prompt
/FixMbr  or /FixBoot or /RebuildBcd  may have to use each in turn or more than once.

Most of these are not your exact error however they could help fix the issue.

Try Startup Repair - (If at ANY point you gain some but not full access to Windows come
back and try Startup Repair again.)
