How do you abort / stop the Windows 7 backup

I am trying to backup 250GB of mainly mp3 and jpeg files onto a 500G USB harddrive. The backup has been going for 48 hours now and is (according to the progress bar) 5% complete. The view details option fails to display anything. I would like to abort the backup and reduce the scope of the directories backed up, but the config option is greyed out and I can't figure how to abort the backup. Can anyone help?
Answer
Answer
in the windows start bar, type "backup" in the search area, open "Backup and Restore" and in the new window you'll have a button that will allow you to cancel the backup, this is also where you can adjust the backup options
