I have follow the your instructions as you mentioned above. I did rebooted my PC as well. But still unable to get my second monitor to be detected. I was using Window seven and it was working fine. I checked my VGA and its seems to be fine. But still can not fix the issue i am having now.

What should i do to get my second monitor ?

thanks

I'm having a similar problem I have a sapphire ati radeon hd 4850x2 with four heads and 4 monitors, windows will not look for or discover any of my other monitors, the latest ati driver doesn't work with 10 and like you my old system win 7 worked fine. I am hoping they fix this problem as with win 7 it took a few weeks before they updated the driver to cover my card

I've also lost visibility of my second screen with the upgrade to windows 10. I have been using the second screen through a dell port replicator docking station. I've tried plugging the second screen directly into the laptop - this has temporarily remedied the situation although defeats the purpose of having the docking station.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

After upgrading to windows 10 from windows 8.1, my desktop no longer finds the second display monitor.

This is horrible!

Yeah, all well and good. But what do you do if Win 10 won't detect your second monitor? Then none of the above info is any help at all.

What if one does not want to use the laptop screen and setup two monitors instead.  I had two monitor setup on Windows 7 then I made the mistake of upgrading it :( and now monitor connected using HDMI cable does not work.  I am having the same problem like most people windows 10 is not detecting a second monitor.

I have a similar problem. I cannot connect to my LG Smart TV via HDMI anymore since upgrading to Windows 10.

I can connect to an old TV via VGA cable but again not HDMI. The Intel dialogue boxes know that a TV is connected but the TV says 'No Signal'

This is very frustrating and I hope someone has an answer to this

I appreciate the information in this post. I also am having the same problem with my HDMI not working after upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7. To resolve the issue I contacted Microsoft Windows 10 Technical Support. The Tech Support person remotely accessed my H.P computer, and he performed all the tasked suggested in this post. Unfortunately, none of the tasks, 1, 2, or 3, worked. What the M.S. Windows Tech. Person then suggested is to restore my system back to Windows 7, then check to make sure the HDMI functionality returned and then wait a short period to see if a fix is developed  to resolve the HDMI function problem for Windows 10. I have just successfully restored my computer back to Windows 7 and all of its drivers and software, and now I have HDMI functionality again. I truly hope that Microsoft will develop a fix for this problem, because I thoroughly enjoyed the short period of having use of Windows 10 and all its great features ... except for the HDMI problem, Windows 10 is truly intuitive and a great OS. Hope everyone at Microsoft is reading this post.

I am still having issue sharing my laptop screen with Samsung Tv. Definitely its a driver issue in windows 10. It was working in Windows 8/8.1.
