I appreciate the information in this post. I also am having the same problem with my HDMI not working after upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7. To resolve the issue I contacted Microsoft Windows 10 Technical Support. The Tech Support person remotely
accessed my H.P computer, and he performed all the tasked suggested in this post. Unfortunately, none of the tasks, 1, 2, or 3, worked. What the M.S. Windows Tech. Person then suggested is to restore my system back to Windows 7, then check to make sure the
HDMI functionality returned and then wait a short period to see if a fix is developed to resolve the HDMI function problem for Windows 10. I have just successfully restored my computer back to Windows 7 and all of its drivers and software, and now I have
HDMI functionality again. I truly hope that Microsoft will develop a fix for this problem, because I thoroughly enjoyed the short period of having use of Windows 10 and all its great features ... except for the HDMI problem, Windows 10 is truly intuitive and
a great OS. Hope everyone at Microsoft is reading this post.
