Windows 10 Professional - Local policy setting for default Lock Screen picture and Login screen picture for all users

Hi,

We are now using the Windows 10 Professional and we want to setup the default Lock Screen picture and Login screen picture for all users on the PC using the local policy method. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Thanks.

Hello,

I would like to know some information about the issue so that we could help you better.

Is the computer connected to a domain network?

I appreciate you for providing details about your query.

I also appreciate this fact that you want to set default Lock Screen picture and Login screen picture for all users.

I would suggest you to try following methods and check if it helps.

a. Press Windows + R keys together, type gpedit.msc in run window and press Enter.

b. In local group policy editor, under computer configuration, click to expand administrative templates.

c. Expand control panel and then click personalization.

d. Right click "Force a specific default lock screen image" and click edit.

e. Select enabled, click apply and then click ok.

f. Similarly, Right click "Force a specific Start background" and click edit.

g. Select enabled, click apply and then click ok.

h. Close local group policy editor and restart the computer.

I hope this information helps.

Please do let us know if you need any further assistance.

Thank you

Dear,

I tried your steps but it failed. We are now using the domain network. However, we tried to test on local PC that is not joined the domain but still fail. Can it not apply such local policy if the OS is Windows 10? Thanks.
