How to permanently turn off Windows Defender ( another antivirus is installed)

I have installed antivirus ( Bitdefender Total Security 2015), which is recognized as running in security and maintenance settings. I did disable the Windows Defender, still it restarts every morning and sends notification that wants scan the computer. Is there any way to turn off the Windows Defender permanently?

I managed to fix this problem by completely uninstalling Bitdefender using the official uninstall tool.

I then reinstalled it by downloading the Windows 10 compatible version and installing manually.

Windows defender now reports that it is turned off! 😊

(This was for Bitdefender Total Security 2015)
