mat-debug-xxxx.log files

Why are these files appearing in quantity (every 15 minutes), while running Windows 10 home, in my /apps/local/temp folder? They did not appear before the last 3 days ago.

I gets very tiring when Microsoft rolls out programs or patches for patches that CREATE problems. Microsoft is not a small startup. It's a large company with lots of employees that has been around a long time. I sincerely hope they get their act together.

intanto però questi files si presentano numerosi e con frequenza e non credo che ci voglia molto a Microsoft di eliminare il problema. Speriamo presto

Thank you Gary B. You nailed it. No more of these mat-debug log files piling up in temp folder. I did find the site to be nirsoft.net not nirsoft.com. When you land on their home page it is loaded with options so I did a search using their search bar for InstalledAppView and downloaded it from the landed page. Smooth download and painless to use. Found Localbridge.exe on the list and deleted it. We are all good now. Thanks again.

I solved the annoying problem with mat-debug-xxxx.log files for me using the commands:

Get-AppxProvisionedPackage -Online | Where-Object {$_.PackageName -Like "Microsoft.MicrosoftOfficeHub"} | ForEach-Object { Remove-AppxProvisionedPackage -Online -PackageName $_.PackageName}

Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.MicrosoftOfficeHub | Remove-AppxPackage

See: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/privacy/manage-connections-from-windows-operating-system-components-to-microsoft-services

In my case the files in tmp folder were created by the program:
C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.MicrosoftOfficeHub_18.2005.1191.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalBridge.exe
Found by Sysinternals' Procmon.

If you do what I did and use what GaryB007 suggested using nirsoft.net you won't have any further problems with mat-debug files piling up in your temp folder. It fixed the problem and did not create any new ones going forward.
