hyper-v linux machine how to change console font size with hyperv_fb

Hi,

I am running Oracle Linux 6.5 with RedHat compatible kernel (no UEK) inside Hyper-V, only text mode (no X server). I am using the following parameters in /boot/grub.conf

SYSFONT=latarcyrheb-sun16 video=hyperv_fb:1920x1080 nomodeset

But the text is too small. I am trying to increase the font size but nothing seems to work. It seems this is likely due to the hyper-v framebuffer. How can I change the font size when using the hyper-v framebuffer?

Thanks

Answer

Here's what I managed to do:

I removed SYSFONT=latarcyrheb-sun16 from grub.conf

I installed yum install terminus-fonts-console

I set SYSFONT="ter-128n" in /etc/sysconfig/i18n

and the font is now readable :)

If anyone has another solution please mention it.

Thanks
