is there a forum on microsoft flight simulator

Is there any evidence that MS flight sim works on windows 10

Hi,
I am Sumit, an Independent Advisor and a 2-Year Windows Insider MVP here to help.

If the compatiblity mode doesn't help, you would not be able to run it.

However, here is an alternate.

Which version ? Many, if not all, disc based versions of MS Flight have an issue with DRM Blocking, so you need to use a noCD fix\hack.

I have more details on DRM Blocking in my post at  ---this thread---

I only have Combat Flight Simulator 2, and it runs normally (no Compatibility for older Windows used) on Win10 (with noCD fix),

but CFS3 uses the same game engine and is basically the same game with different maps and missions.

As with many software\games, the MS Flight series has it's share of issues, but I believe they can all be fixed. Patching the game

after installing is the first requirement.

The very old, pre 2002 versions would have more issues though.

- Steam has MSFS - X, and while they didn't update the system requirements I believe it will run on Win10, but you should

be able to verify this on the Steam forums (can't imagine it wouldn't run on Win10 if my game from four years earlier does).

I enquired about this a week ago on this site but I am not sure if it got through or not. However, I shall repeat it. Is there any evidence that any form of MS flight sim can work on windows 10.

Hello! I am an Independent Advisor, I would love to help you out!

It looks like it may be possible to get a Microsoft flight sim to work on windows 10. However, it requires quite a few steps and there would be no guarantee that it would work or continue to work with future updates.

Here is a link to one article outlining how to get Flight Simulator X to work on windows 10: https://windowsreport.com/microsoft-flight-simu...

Hi BUSSOBOY

My name is Andre Da Costa; an Independent Consultant, Windows Insider MVP and Windows & Devices for IT MVP. I'm here to help you with your problem.

Unfortunately, the last version of Flight Simulator was from 2007, which is 12 years ago. So, it is officially not certified compatible.

Your best option is setup a dual boot configuration with an older version of Windows, such as Windows 7 32 bit and install it there. This is if your hardware can still run Windows 7. Most modern computers especially those with Skylake and Kabylake processors or AMD Ryzen don't support Windows 7.

If yours does, then here is how you do it:
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...

Another option is compatibility mode, but many Flight Simulator users have seen limited success with it, but its worth a try as a first option:

Your thread on May 2 did get through, and there were  -   Two replies. Click here-

Where you will find that even MSFS versions from as far back as 2002 are compatible with Win10 and will run well

(as are the majority of games from then onward).

- Your original thread is still on page one of the Gaming Forum, but if it had dropped off the front page and you

don't know how to find your original thread ... Click on your Login Name > Profile (top right on this page).

This will open a new page with all of your questions and replies.

It's generally best to avoid starting a new thread on the same topic to maintain continuity with the replies

(so you don't have to read the same suggestions again, and so we don't have to bounce back and fourth between the posts to

review the details when replying).
