How to unlock Google Chrome as the internet browser?

original title: my computer has decided to block google chrome-y? cant find settings to unblock in firewall either? x

i wasusing my internet-google chroma and all of a sudden it said it has been blocked and i can no longer go on it! i have chekt the firewall but it says something about mcafee security-which im not even with? xx

What is the first "it" in the statement "it said it was blocked"?  What "said it was blocked"?  What is the complete and exact text of the error?  Describe exactly what you were doing just before and just as the message occurred.  Include your version of Windows as well.

are you saying you the website you where visiting was blocked?

Please give us the exact error message you get.

How long has this message been popping up?

has this always been the case...have you ever been able to log in?

Was there anything added/removed before this started happening?

we need more information so we can give you better advice.

From what you have said, try removing all anti virus software, reboot and try to log in.

If you have more information let us know.

Describe your symptoms in detail.  Tell us how you connect to Outlook.com (what browser, what browser version, what Windows version, etc.) and precisely what you see when you try what it is you're trying.  If you get an error message, post it unedited here.  In fact, it would be best if you included all of this in your own, fresh thread rather than replying to someone else's thread.  Use Participate>Ask a Question at the top of this or any other forum web page.

I googled it on my phone and found a suggestion (which worked for me) which was:

Right click the chrome icon, select "Run as Administrator," then give permission for the program to make changes on your computer.

I have the Chrome icon with a Lock symbol on it unit  How can I unlock it?
