So, what is there when you get to the Keyboard Properties page?

Did you click on the correct item in the Start Menu? Like this:

Did you get a window like this?:

If so you should be good, and if not, can you describe what you see? Or take a screenshot and post it here?

If not, what did you get?

ChatGPT, it does get things fantastically wrong sometimes, but other times it's great.

Like I switched to the old context menu a few months ago, but I wanted to go back to the new one a few days ago but I had forgotten the method I used. So it was a lot easier to get ChatGPT to understand what I wanted to do, as opposed to trolling through forums for an hour looking for the solution, and trying to get Google to find what I was looking for.

But that said, I had just made an image backup of my system so I knew that I could revert to that if it went wrong.

But yes, it's definitely not a good idea to use it for forum responses because the person reading it won't know it's an AI response.

Hi, DonnaEd. I'm sorry to hear you're having this problem, and I hope I can assist you to find a satisfactory solution.

In Windows 11, you can adjust the keyboard sensitivity, also known as the repeat delay and repeat rate, through the Settings app. Here's how you can do it:

Open Settings:

Click on the Start button in the taskbar or press the Win + I keyboard shortcut to open the Settings app.
Go to Accessibility Settings:

In the Settings window, click on "Accessibility" in the left sidebar.
Navigate to Keyboard:

In the Accessibility settings, select "Keyboard" from the options on the left.
Adjust Keyboard Sensitivity:

Under the Keyboard section, you will find options to adjust the "Repeat rate" and "Repeat delay."
The "Repeat rate" controls how quickly a character repeats when you hold down a key. You can adjust it using the slider.
The "Repeat delay" controls how long you have to hold down a key before it starts repeating. You can also adjust this using the slider.
Test Your Settings:

After adjusting the settings to your preference, you can test them out by typing in a text editor or any other application where you can input text.

Hope this helps

This was the right instructions. Just go to the old Control Panel and type 'Keyboard' and then the good ol' setting are back.

This is the solution; however, it's shocking that Microsoft has buried this setting so thoroughly, even though it was once available for the last twenty years!

So, next level question: if the fastest repeat rate is not as fast as I'd like, what is the registry setting that allows me to make it faster (faster than moving that control panel slider all the way to the right)?
