Hi
Welcome to Microsoft community.
I understand that you're encountering a BSOD with the "UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION" error, particularly during gaming sessions. This issue can indeed be frustrating, especially since it seems to be related to anti-cheat software.
To help further diagnose the problem, could you please let me know when this issue started occurring? Did it begin after a specific update, installation, or change to your system? This information can be crucial in pinpointing the root cause of the problem.
Create a New Local Administrator Account:
Sometimes, issues like these can be related to user profile corruption. Creating a new local administrator account can help determine if the problem persists in a fresh environment.
Here’s how to create a new local account:
Open Settings by pressing Windows + I.
Go to Accounts > Family & other users.
Click on Add someone else to this PC.
Select I don’t have this person’s sign-in information, then choose Add a user without a Microsoft account.
Enter a username and password, and ensure to set the account as an administrator.
Log into this new account and see if the BSOD occurs while playing games.
This helps to rule out any profile-specific issues that might be causing the BSOD, allowing you to identify whether the problem is linked to your original user account.
Disable Third-Party Antivirus Software:
If you have any third-party antivirus software installed, consider uninstalling it temporarily. These programs can sometimes interfere with system operations and lead to BSOD errors.
After uninstalling, check if the issue persists.
Third-party antivirus software can conflict with other applications, particularly games and their associated anti-cheat systems, which might be causing the unexpected store exception.
Temporarily Disable Windows Defender and Firewall:
While it’s important to keep your system secure, temporarily disabling Windows Defender and the firewall can help determine if they are causing the issue.
To disable Windows Defender:
Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection.
Click on Manage settings under Virus & threat protection settings and toggle off Real-time protection.
To disable the firewall:
Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Windows Security > Firewall & network protection.
Select your active network and toggle off the firewall.
Disabling these security features can help identify if they are interfering with the game or anti-cheat software, leading to the BSOD.
Disclaimer: Temporarily turn off real-time Microsoft Defender antivirus protection in Windows Security. However, keep in mind that if you do so, your device may be vulnerable to threats. So please turn it on immediately once issue fixed.
If the problem persists after trying these suggestions, please let me know, and we can explore further options together. Your feedback on when the issue started will also be helpful in diagnosing the problem more accurately. I hope these steps help you stabilize your system!
Best regards
