Black screen missing operating system

Hello

I use windows 10, my computer slowed down and I wanted to reset it, a black image appeared on reset, I decided to shut down the computer, when I restarted it it told me missing operating system, when I click the del key on the keyboard to enter bios at the bottom of the black screen says "A4 hard disk smart command failed" press F1 to resume. After that I wanted to install the new system on my computer but there was no partition to install the system and it said "we couldn't find any drives .. "I entered cmd via system installation and typed chkdsk / r but it said" cannot lock currente drive

Windows can't run disk checking for this volume because it is write protected "

Please help me

Image and after removing the bootable stick when i turned on the computer it said "reboot and select proper boot device

insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key. And no hard disk was detected in the biosImage

Hello AdnanZukić,

thank you for providing this question.
I am a seasoned Windows expert with almost a decade in usage and support experience and hope to resolve your problems quickly.

Sadly when the Bios detects now harddrive it is broken and can not be used anymore.
This leaves you with no hard drive and therefor no way to install an OS.
You will need to buy a hard drive or ssd (preferably imho) to install Windows again

If it was a classical hard drive and not an ssd date securage is technically possible but you need to disconnect the drive for now and not try to use it again for now. There are companys who are specialized in this but its costly.

If you consider the drive content to be of no importance then you can proceed to try around to fix it but you likely won't when the drive reported a bad smart status beforehand and does not appear in BIOS.

If you consider your problem solved it would be very good if you marked the answer which helped you so others can find and use this thread.
If this didn't solve your problem or you need further assistance please answer in this thread and i would be happy to help.

kind regards

F. Grobusch

Hi,

Looks like Hard Disk has the SMART error. Confirm it by running the Inbuilt diagnostic, possibly from F12 on boot.

Check if Hard disk is detected in BIOS, if it's there, load BIOS defaults and see if it boots.

But still, if its SMART error, go for another HardDisk

"Hard disk S.M.A.R.T command failed"
This means the drive is recognized but not functional.
My remarks about data recovery are still applicable. Disconnect and leave disconnected if you want to get a data recovery specialist do its work later.
Yes that also means you will need to buy a new hard drive.

Okay thank you so much

And yes,i found my old hard drive from my old computer,i included it in this computer but it said "reboot and select proper boot device

insert boot media in selected boot device and press key "

I shut down my computer and put in a bootable boot boot where I squeezed the repair computer option and wanted to reset the system but I got this. I wonder if I can do something about this.

The old drive which contained the old system is gone. No repair options.
You will need to install a fresh Windows.

You can find the Media creation tool here which can be used to create new USB boot media from which you can run the latest installation.
www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows10

Since you create it from another pc please select for the tool to create the image for another pc so you can freely select your version.

But when i put that old drive in my computer it says "reboot and select proper boot device
insert boot media in selected boot device and press key "and when I want to install the system it does not read any partitions to me. I put that disk in another computer to check if it works and it worked perfectly on that computer, even I installed a new system on that one I don't know why I can't do the same thing on this computer

Turn off secure boot. Maybe if necessary switch from UEFI to legacy BIOS boot.
