Add a keyboard to a laptop

How can I add an USB keyboard to a laptop windows 10. Have plugged it in but there is no sign of it

USB keyboards are automatically recognised. You plug them in, they work. If yours doesn't then you should try a different USB port and also test it on a different PC.

Simply go to your Device Manager and check if there is keyboard appeared and hit update.

Keyboard works fine on the desktop with windows 10, when plugedin.

Did you try to reboot your machine/laptop by chance? It will install automatically once rebooted. Let me know once done.

Keyboard works fine on the desktop with windows 10, when plugedin.

You need to carry out both tests I suggested, not just one.

Rebooted and changed USB Port with USB Mouse. No changed not listed on device manager.
