Dear Steve Peters2,

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

In Outlook, rooms refer to resources that can be booked for meetings or events, such as conference rooms, training rooms, or equipment. By creating a room in Outlook, you can easily schedule and manage bookings for that resource.

To create a room in Outlook, follow these steps:

1.Open Outlook and go to the Calendar view.

2.Click on the "New Meeting" or "New Appointment" button to create a new meeting or event.

In the meeting/event window, click on the "Rooms" button or "Scheduling Assistant" button.

3.Click on the "Add Rooms" button and then select "New Room."

Enter the details for the room, such as the name, capacity, location, and any other relevant information.

4.Click "OK" to save the room details.

The room will now be available for booking in Outlook when you schedule meetings or events.

Once the room is created, you can easily add it as a resource when creating new meetings or events in Outlook. This allows you to check the availability of the room and reserve it for your desired time slot.

Creating rooms in Outlook can help streamline the process of scheduling meetings and events, as well as ensure that resources are efficiently utilized within your organization.
