Failure to send email code 9932

While using Outlook, my IMAP account receives email just fine, but my outgoing mail does not get received. The last failure code was 9932. I've worked with my host service, my internet provider...they cannot solve it. I have the same problem on all my devices...phone, laptop, iPad, desktop.

I'm having the same issue as the OP. None of you recommended troubleshooting works.
you cannot repair accounts in the new Outlook. you cannot manually check or manage the SMTP settings in the new outlook. The options simply do not exist yet. You own support team acknowledges this and we have been waiting for this to be corrected for months.
Deleting and re-adding does not fix the issues, and neither does re-inputting the password

I have the same problem in Outlook but only with ONE address - my broker! Have been back and forth between Microsoft and Spectrum -- able to send the message in the Spectrum mail service but not with the new Outlook. I believe it is an authentication issue but it is with Outlook.

Agree with KA's complaints about the new Outlook -- not ready for prime time.

I have the same issue with my Spectrum account but not my Gmail. Incoming works with Spectrum, outgoing fails.

  1. Spectrum says to check all your settings if that doesn't work its a Microsoft issue.

  2. Microsoft says to check all your settings if that doesn't work its a Spectrum issue.

If I uninstall the New Windows 11 Outlook and install the old Mail client, my settings work. As soon as Microsoft forces the New Outlook again, it stops.

Same issue here - move from Windows Mail to New Outlook (Win10) and failure to send email (fail code 9932)

new Outlook has no means to troubleshoot or modify detailed settings of the IMAP servers I am using

Only working resolution for me is to revert to Windows Mail (for how long ?)

Just completed online chat with Microsoft re this and was advised:

"So as regards the new outlook that you are using, please be informed that the new outlook is a work in progress and Microsoft is still trying to incorporate the functionality of old outlook to the new outlook.

however, to get the issue resolved, i would advise that you switch back to the legacy outlook and delete the new outlook off your device so that your emails work perfectly.

I did online chat with support who advised the new Outlook is a work in progress and to uninstall it, and reinstall the legacy outlook! And no time frame on a fix. Very poor!

For the time being I'm just using webmail to send emails.
