Allow "microsoftonline.com" Pop-up????

When trying to log onto my Hotmail.com email (on iPhone) I keep getting a pop-up as follows:

"Allow "microsoftonline.com" to use cookies and website data while browsing "microsoft.com"

This will allow "microsoftonline.com" to track your activity".

Seems very odd.... Can't find reference online of anyone else receiving same. Any ideas???

Thanks. GMLr

Alison - thanks for reply.

I've never seen this one before - and the pop-up won't accept "Don't Allow" for an answer..... it just prevents me from accessing the hotmail account and repeats the Pop-up. Again and again...

I'm also getting a lot of pop-ups: "Network Service Provider Settings Update".

My service provider has reset and claims definitely NOT their popup. Something feels not right?!?

GMLr

Hello - I'm still not sure.... but sense there's something suspicious. I haven't "allowed" it.

My service provider is adamant it's not from them! It only occurs on my iPhone - so am accessing

hotmail only on Laptop.

Hi, I thought that I was tripping. I could not find any info on how to by-pass this issue as I do not want to allow MS to access/track my cookies either. I just recently did my iPhone upgrade- I wonder if it's connected. I have had to access my email account through any laptop...this question has not been posed using my laptop.

Strangely I am only asked this question on my laptop, and not on my iPhone. I also don’t want to hit “allow” but can’t log in if I hit “don’t allow”. Doesn’t seem right to me.......

Alison,

Have you tried to deny and been successful? Just doesn't seem like you are reading the posts. If this really is an official Microsoft site, then it should not matter what response you choose. But it seems that I and others are not allowed to deny?

So, you haven't cleared any doubts.

Alison - yes i've tried to deny but unsuccessfully - it won't accept that response. So I am no longer able to access hotmail on my iPhone. Something not right!

Hello,  can  anyone  find the answer? I  can't sign  in  at  all  without  clicking  Allow  and I really  don't want to do it because it isn't safe.
