Thanks for contacting us! My name is Crislayne, I am an Independent Consultant and a Microsoft user like you. Please, keep in mind that this is a public forum and we do not work for Microsoft nor do we have access to any user accounts. We can only offer advice based on our knowledge and resources available from Microsoft. I'm here to help you the best way I can.
According to what you wrote, I understand that you have received an email message about account verification and need to know if it is legitimate or not.
You are right to ask us about this email before clicking on a link or answer it. Keep doing this and you will, hardly, have security problems in your account in the future. Congratulations on your attitude.
After reviewing the message you sent, I can confirm that it is a Phishing scam.
Phishing attacks attempt to steal sensitive information through emails, websites, text messages, or other forms of electronic communication. They try to look like an official communication from legitimate companies or individuals.
I will leave 2 links with instructions that will help you identify when the Microsoft email message is legitimate or not.
