Teams front-facing camera upside down on calls

I have a brand new iPad Air M3 purchased in March 2025. I am experiencing a similar issue to the ones reported over the past couple of years with Teams calls on the front facing camera showing me upside down to conference participants. None of the previous support steps seem to help resolve this issue. Can you please reinvestigate this issue as it appears to be a persistent issue cropping up for many people. My iOS is 18.3.2.

Hello Stephen Bain,

Have a nice day! Please post your messages on the Microsoft community. We are happy to help you!

I understand the frustration you're experiencing with the front-facing camera appearing upside down during Teams calls on your iPad Air M3. This issue has been reported by several users, and our team is actively working on a solution. In the meantime, I did some research on this, and indeed it was a bug that was fixed with version 6.14.1 (100772024142602), :

Microsoft Reference: TM836444
Issue Status: RESOLVED

Issue description: Some iPad users may see their video displayed upside down when using Microsoft Teams.

More information: The issue is related to a recent version of iOS and iPadOS 17.5. The impact is specific to Microsoft Teams version 6.14.0 users on the following iPad and iOS models:
– iPad Air 6th generation
– iPad Pro 7th generation
– iOS and iPadOS 17.5 Final
update: 7/31/2024 8:55:00 AM – The latest version of Microsoft Teams has been validated and is now available in the Apple App Store. Affected users who haven't enabled automatic updates can download Microsoft Teams version 6.14.1 (100772024142602) to address the impact.
Impact scope: Your organization is affected by this event, and some users who try to make video calls using an iPad may be affected.
Root cause: A regression in a build update for Microsoft Teams related to a recent version of iOS and iPadOS 17.5 causes the videos to be displayed upside down for devices running that version.

However, since you mentioned that this similar issue has been reported over the past couple of years, indeed it is true because in this specific version there is bug so all users who are facing the issue with the same version has been advice to contact our Microsoft support online directly.

Please note that we, as community moderators, do not have the ability to fix bugs, we can only report them, which I did. I recommend that you contact Microsoft support directly to report this on your end. Microsoft's back-end support team may have a remote session with you to check the issue, collect/inspect high-level logs, and investigate the cause of this issue from the backend.
