Fail to make a tab in Teams. error message: "Missing scope permissions on the request."

Hi, I have been using Teams for my school team assignments for half a year and it works well. I can make a tab for a file successfully so our group can access the file conveniently. But I failed to make a file as a tab from yesterday with a long error message as shown below. The error message indicates "missing scope permissions on the request....". How could I fix this error and make a tab again?

error message:

Hi, I'm Joshua and I am happy to help.

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue!

Based on the error message you provided, it seems that the app permissions for your Teams application may have been modified or revoked, which is preventing you from creating the tab successfully.

Please try and uninstall and reinstall the app.
Also, ensure that the app has the necessary permissions to create a tab, such as 'TeamsTab.Create', 'TeamsTab.ReadWriteForTeam', or 'TeamsTab.ReadWrite.All'.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Regards,
Joshua.

Where would we find these applicable permissions? I'm having the same issue with the Teams app when trying to do this with an Excel file.

In addition, this same error happens whether using the Teams app or using Teams online. I happen to be an owner of the Team.

I have the exact same problem.

We created a team, as a class.
Then you get the Class Materials, where she is trying to make the file as a tab.
Just like your problem.

Same issue (see image). As mentioned, the standard + icon in the channel header option still works, but is infuriatingly far less useful now that it defaults not to the current channel files, or even to the current team, but to everything in MS365, forcing me to navigate multiple extra clicks to get to a file! Are these changes related?

For what it's worth, found identical 'create a tab' issues here:
