All text appears selected in OneNote (2019 desktop and OneNote for Windows 10) high contrast mode

Hello Microsoft! This issue persists and it means I'm having a lot of trouble reading my notes.

Please see here for more info.

Thanks,

Joe

Hi joer2020,

I'm Nik, an independent advisor here to assist you with this.

Please try to change the OneNote theme and see if that helps:
1. Open OneNote app > Click File > Options.
2. In the OneNote Options dialog box, click the General tab.
3. From the Office Themes drop-down, Choose another theme and see which one works for you.

Regards
Nik

Hi joer2020,

Thanks for sticking with me on this. I will look at things for you!

Please try to turn off high contrast mode:
1. Select the Windows Start button, then select Settings > Ease of Access > High contrast.

2. To turn off high contrast mode, switch off the toggle under "Turn on high contrast"

Tip: To turn high contrast on or off from the keyboard, press left Alt + left Shift + Print Screen.

I hope this helps!

Regards
Nik

Hi Nik,

Thanks for the reply. I can turn high contrast mode on and off. The issue is resolved if high contrast mode is off, but I need to have high contrast mode turned on because I am visually impaired. More information is available in the thread I have linked to in my original post.

Is there any timeframe for when this problem will be resolved?

Joe

Hi joer2020,

I understand your concern, and I second your thoughts.

Please be advised that as a community member(not Microsoft), I don't have insight when the feature or a fix for this issue will be released as it is solely managed by Microsoft product group.

I have gone through the community article that you have attached along with the original post, but I couldn't find if this issue has been reported to Microsoft and any request for an improvement suggestion.

I invite you to submit your improvement suggestion to dedicated Microsoft UserVoice forum. Also, you could find any existing thread with a similar discussion and participate here: https://onenote.uservoice.com/.

Thanks for your understanding and patience on this.

Regards
Nik

Thanks Nik for taking the time to respond.

Is there no other way of contacting the engineering team about this issue?
