Balance greyed out

I'm unable to use my account balance to pay for things in my Xbox! The balance appears greyed out. What can I do?

Hi BlemosCaldas,

Hey, only with a credit card added to your account Microsoft, so you can get the subscription from your Xbox. On the other hand, you can redeem a card of Xbox Live Gold membership purchased at stores.

Hello,

The Microsoft balance can only be used to purchase games and other stuff. It is not designed for subrcription purchases. Xbox Live Gold is always set to auto-renew, thus requiring a credit card to associate with it.
