Windows 10 fresh install fails

I should add - the disk was not allocated BEFORE the install attempt.  The information from diskpart came from AFTER I got the error.

So the installer is partitioning the disk, but failing to install windows.

Alas,

I've tried that.  Here are the steps I've tried:

1)  Using the installer, delete all partitions on the disk before starting the install.  Then select the unallocated space on the disk and let the installer partition the disk.

2)  Using diskpart, clean the drive of all partitions and do the same thing

Both of those attempts failed with the error above.

When I delete all of the partitions using the installer, and try to recreate them by hand, the installer 'helps' me.  I create the first partition - the big one - and then the installer automatically creates recovery, system etc. etc. the other partitions.  The install then fails.

Should the recovery partition be in position 1?

Am I doing something wrong?

I'm having a common issue and I've tried all of the fixes I've found online.  I still have the issue

I have two disks - the USB removable memory stick which contains the installer ISO image, and an M.2 Samsung 500GB drive.  I'm doing a fresh install of windows 10 and I'm encountering an error during the installation.

When I reach the 'Where do you want to install Windows' dialog box in the installer, I see Drive 0, with 465GB of unallocated space.  When I select this disk and click install I get the following error:

"Windows could not prepare the computer to boot into the next phase of installation.  To install Windows, restart the installation"

My unallocated disk space looks like this from diskpart:

The only thing that l see that looks out of sorts is that volume 0, Recovery, gets drive letter C.  Volume 1 is the one I expected to get drive letter C.

Has anyone else seen an issue like this before?   Am I barking up the wrong tree with the drive letter, or is something else going on?

I was reinstalling windows 10 and my installation cd exploded in my drive im plying against the devil trying to recover this .I have a pc with a split windows 7 personality.i have been 4 days deleting trying recovery and still cant recover .any suggestions I will try.

my pc has been upgraded now and mine looks just like that.it is driving me crazy now due to myirst error code was for disc drive failure and I started with the hard drivesbefore I found the disc exploded.then I chaged the dvd rw out with a bad drive.i have a split program now and its all windo s 7 now but im on it now!  things are looking up

Tried that -

1)  Delete all partitions inside of the installer

2)  Add one new partition - 4 get created (recovery, system, msr and primary)

3)  FORMAT on primary

Now the error is:

We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one.  For more information see the Setup Log files.

I did that - of course.
