I can't figure out how to remove save password option and prevent Skype to log in when turning my Mac on.
I have tried logging out and try to uncheck the Save password option, but the new version doesn't have this option.
Regards, Omar

Hi,
You can change the startup settings on Application settings. Click your Profile photo > Application settings > Startup and Close.

Hello!
To prevent automatic login when you start Skype, just close your session, so when Skype is started the next time, you'll have to enter your credentials to log in. You can do that in File > Sign out. Please note that if you close Skype, but do not sign out your session, you will be active if you have selected "On close, keep Skype running".
If you do not want Skype to run automatically when you start your Mac, you can do it from the System Preferences in your computer. This setting is not located inside Skype preferences as it is managed from the MacOS system. Just open your System Preferences, go to Users and groups and click on your user. You'll see a tab for startup items. From there you can remove Skype so it does not start at login. If you wish, you can manage this from the Skype dock icon using the right-click in your mouse. It will bring the contextual menu to start Skype when you start your Mac.

Hello,
Thank you for your reply. However, I don't have either the "Automatically start Skype" or "Launch Skype in the background" options, I don't know if is something related to the version.

Hello Carola,
Thanks for your reply. I have tried disabling this "On close, keep skype running" option, however it doesn't work.
The behavior I want is prevent skype automatic loggin when the Mac is started. Not prevent the application start, just the auto loggin.
Thank you very much.

Unchecking the Automatically Start Skype, or the Launch Skype at Background, or the On Close, keep Skype running options did not work for me, as well. After restarting my PC, I start Skype manually and it automatically signs me in without requesting username and password.
Some awful job has been done on this latest 8.12 release, it's almost impressive.
