I only see recommended discussions, but it is also the solution for now.

We have multiple HP ProBook 450 G6 with the UHD 620 and they have this issue.

What we've seen is

- Triangled images into Word.

- Chrome browser which goes black, also settings.

- And crosses on Internet Explorer.

Rolling back the driver helps, updating the driver is possible but it will be overwritten as 26.20.100.7157 is newer.

Confirmed here as well. The driver rollback works until the machine updates and breaks again. This usually takes a couple days. Now we are trying to find a way to stop the machines from updating as anyone with this model can no longer function.

Windows updates are swirling the drain. Can we go back to 2005 please?

If you're running Windows 10 Pro...
Search for gpedit.msc and open/run as administrator.

Select..

Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update

Find/Open:  "Do not include drivers with Windows Update policy"
Enable this option

Click Apply and OK

Having the same issue after this display drivers update, one after another laptop. Foresee there will be more coming my way. Why can't Microsoft remove this particular update from their servers ??????????

We too are having this issue, we have 50 devices that might have this issue. So far about 10-15 have shown the issue. I have only been able to fix 2.

Hi All,

I have/had a similar issue... out of about 12 HP laptops; 4 reported this issue.... my workaround was:

1. Install ALL updates

2. Remove update KB4517389

3. Reboot and reinstall missing updates.

4. Then go to HP website and install the graphics driver for your product

Seems to have solved the issue (touch wood) - havent had a complaint from the users in 2 days (wow!)

But *warning* doing the above takes time and has worked for me - but perhaps someone has a quicker solution.

In the meantime.... try it!

Jeremy
