Mail App Search Online not working properly

Whenever, I perform a search for older email, the email is found, but once I click on the email to view it, it disappears. To elaborate further, if I search a keyword I might get 20 results, but as soon as I click on one of the results, each email disappears one by one from the screen until I am only left with the message, "Don't see what you are looking for? Try using different keywords." This started happening maybe 2 weeks ago. And it is happening on two different computers. Is there a fix to this?

Also experiencing the exact same issue. This is only for one of my accounts however. My synced gmail account has had no issues and doesn't even need the search online feature... it seems to pull all the past emails immediately. 

This is occuring with my outlook.Office365 exchange account. This is frustrating as this is my work email and needs to be fixed immediately. I am tired of this **** of people doing the obvious "remove and add" account. Obviously we did this already.

Having the same issue with one users.  Already attempting resetting the account. Deleting the account and adding it back on.  As well as deleting the app and reinstalling.  Still having the Same issues. I wonder if it was an app update that caused the issue.  The Microsoft Store setting were set to install update automatically.

Also having the same problem trying find older emails on the "online server" of my work account.  The emails are there but in less then a second the whole search results disappear.  So frustrating!

I've been having this for a while but lately it's gotten much worse.  I literally can't "search online" for anything on my work email server.  So frustrating.  About ready to find something else that works.

This is happening to us as well for several end users tied up to our Exchange.  As OP says, once you click on an email in the search online results they'll start vanishing one by one until its basically reset.  It was working fine up to about a week ago.  They're available through Outlook Online, but we want them at this site to use Mail.  

Resetting the app does resolve, neither does reinstalling

Nor re-adding the account

It is happening on multiple computers in same environment.

Bug with the Mail app?  Update?

 I see I'm not alone with this EXACT issue of emails disappearing once clicked on after executing the search function. One by one they all disappear.

I see this has been reported for 10 days now with no explanation or fix...

same here - also with office365 exchange email. Hoping microsoft will notice this issue!

Also have the same issue where search online feature results disappear once clicked on all results disappear. PLEASE HELP?????
