AFAIK, radiation (X-ray or other) will not erase magnetic media, although the EMP from a nuclear weapon burst will destroy the electronics in your hard drive (if you and/or it aren't vaporized by the blast anyway).

Optical media are proof against normal levels of magnetism and radiation but if you're talking extremes - levels that can damage other hardware - who can say? The inner medium of the disc is a thin layer of aluminum or gold that theoretically could be damaged or destroyed by an extreme level of external radiation or magnetism. You'd need to contact the manufacturer of the discs in question and ask what their testing protocols or guaranteed performance levels are.
