Error code 80070643 while installing Office 2013 updates

Hi,

When I try to install the recent batch of Office 2013 updates, Windows Update returns the error code 80070643. After some research, I found that this error code relates to Office 2003 updates on Windows 7. However, this does not correlate to my problem, as I am running Windows 8 64bit which is a recent install.

I would appreciate your help.

It appears the solution is to uninstall and reinstall Office 2013

If you decide upon uninstalling and reinstalling Office 2013, make sure you have the installation media and product codes handy.
