Black background on thumbnails. i need it to be white

ok so i have a digitizing software that displays the design icons as thumbnails, most of my icons have the white background, but some of them are changing it to a black background? does anyone know how i can fix this please? i have over 85,000 designs and to keep clearing the cache and letting them reload takes days and days only for the thumbnail problem to happen again? not sure if you could also help me on how i could get them all to load a lot quicker, i have been doing it folder by folder.  i have added a couple of screenshots of what is happening, its in a lot of my folders. You will notice that a couple of the folder have a "D"icon on them, that is the digitizing software and that is what i will see until i go through and load all of the thumbnails again! this is why i am also asking is there a quicker way to load multiples at once?  Thanks in advance KK  (first screenshot is inside the folders, second screenshot is looking at the actual folders in the drive. notice not all the folders have black background thumbnails)

Embroidery file formats like .jef requires special software to open and customize these files. To address your concern with your files, we'd like to know the following:

  • The program you are using to open this file.
  • If there is a customize tab in the properties of these files.
  • The version of your Windows. To know which version of Windows you are using, press Windows + R to open run window, type winver and press Enter.
  • Changes you've made prior to your concern.

I have found if I open the actual folder, right click, customize, set to pictures and then click apply. When I go back to the main folder these ones are now showing on the folder with white background, if I don’t open the folder and just right click, customize, pictures, apply. I then find that the background of some of the files in that folder are black background, if I open the folder you can actually see the ones that are black background (usually just 2 of them) but the rest of them have white background.

It seems that you have found the solution to your concern with black thumbnails. Moreover, we would like to inform you that you are not currently using the latest version of Windows 10. A Windows Update is routinely released to make sure that your computer is secured and improved. The latest version of Windows 10 is Version 1703 (Creators Update). If you want to update Windows 10, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Make sure that you are connected to the Internet.
  2. Press Windows + I to open Settings.
  3. Click Update & security.
  4. Click Check for updates.
  5. Wait and let your computer download the Windows Update.

if i dont have to update to windows creator i wont be, i have only heard bad things about this version! and definately messes with janome software, we have had that many people posting problems with their software only since updating to creator! so will be staying away from this one for as long as i can. thanks anyway i got better help from friends on facebook with my icon problem, shame microsoft cant fix its own problems!!

im not sure why you keep replying? you are not helpful at all! YES im not stupid i know to keep my embroidery software up to date and YES i know i can remain on the windows i am using!!  YES i would of liked more help with my icon problem!  i am not dumb to be told i need to keep my software updated, or that i actually NEED special software? how do you think, Johann Eva that i am actually showing you the problem? YES correct, right inside the special software! oh boy
