I got same problem with Elliot. I just buy the license of Office 365 Personal. When I install there is still problem for activation. The information Error code is Error code 0x4004f00c. What I should to do about this case. Thank you.

I have the same issue now as well. Even after I enter the correct key, it activates and works. But, if I close and re-open....needs activation. 

Microsoft Office 2016 Professional Plus, downloaded from the Microsoft site with genuine key.

I have the exact same problem. Just started yesterday (1/29/2017).

Office is up to date.

Uninstalled/reinstalled.

Ran Microsoft activation fix.

Ran online repair of office.

Removed the creds from credential manager.

Used Microsoft Office total removal tool.

Purchased another Office 365 license and reinstalled form the new account.

Manually removed all registry entries with the O365 license user info in it.

Uninstalled and Reinstalled again.

The latest batch of Microsoft updates has made my life hell. Since the "Thanksgiving update", I've had nothing but Windows 10 issues at client sites. Everything from NEWLY unsupported video cards, Windows boot errors immediately after updates are applied, these office update issues... countless other issues since the fall...

This copy of Microsoft Office is not activated.  You have x days left to activate. (Error Code: 0x4004F00C)

I bought Microsoft Office Home and Business 2013, Licence Card, 1 User (PC) from Amazon in June so am not sure why I am getting this message.  I have recently upgraded to Windows 8.1.

I have the same problem. First I got notified I needed to activate windows 10 after using Windows 10 for over a year. I had to pay a repairman to fix this issue as it is a known bug from the updates

Now I am getting the error telling me I need to activate my microsoft word. 

None of these fixes fixe this issue

I will have to apy a computer tech again to fix this.

I just bought a Mac because Windows seems to be really really buggy

Hopefully the Mac wont have these problems. Only my Photoshop is on my Windows computer.
