Windows 10 Offline files high CPU usage

Hi,

on my laptop, I have some folders from my NAS as offline files marked so I can have access when I am not at the office.

But every time I am in the office and fire up the laptop the CPU goes up to 80% for more than an hour. And after that, it stays at constant 20%.

That makes working very slow. I have an i7 cpu so that should not be the problem. This also happens either I am connected via wifi or ethernet.

Is there an option to limit the cpu to this task?

Thanks,

Thanks for your feedback.

Do you know what service is causing the CPU high usage?
To find out when this happens right click your task bar select task manager.
Make sure more details is shown.
Go to Details tab and filter by CPU.
Look to see what process is the highest.
Let me know the name of the process and we can troubleshoot from there.
