Missing System Protection tab on System Properties (Windows 7 Home Premium) but my computer is only able to operate in safe mode with comand prompt

advise please? im trying to create a start point to get rid of a virus that locks up my screen in normal mode, safe mode, and safe mode with networking

What is the make and model of your computer?

Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try to resolve this problem.


Method 1: I would suggest you to boot to desktop Using Last Known Good Configuration in the Advanced Startup Options after unplugging all the external Devices (except keyboard and Mouse) and check if the issue persists.


Method 2: Perform startup repair using Windows 7 Operating System Disk.

a.    Turn on your computer, insert the Windows 7 installation disc or USB flash drive, and then turn off your computer.

b.    Restart your computer.

c.    Press any key when prompted to do so, and then follow any instructions that appear.

d.    When the Install Windows page appears, click Repair your computer to access system recovery options, select startup repair.
