Windows 7- Blue screen of death (STOP: 0x00000116) PLUS Windows Updates not in service

I have had this Hp computer for almost a year and the previous owner had it for 4 years and had no problems with it. It has Windows 7. It has currently been giving me issues with freezing and the BSOD STOP: 0x00000116 (0xFFFFFA80056B64E0, 0xFFFFF88004865D9C, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000002) keeps popping up whenever I play a video whether from YouTube or Hulu, and I can't play a game like Diablo 3 or SW the Old Republic anymore because it freezes and my pc restarts in the middle of it. Following with this issue that I do not know how to solve, My windows updates are not working and when I try to do it manually, it pops up an error saying it's Not in Service. I do not know when this issue started but I was beginning to wonder why my pc hadn't updated itself in a long while. I am not a computer wiz, and I have low knowledge on anything internal with pc's. Can someone please help me fix these two issues that could very well be connected with each other? ~Thank you for your time!
Hi,
Thank you for posting your issue on Microsoft Community Forums.
From the issue description, we understand that you get Blue screen error and Windows Update is also not working.
Let me go ahead and help you with the issue.

What is the make and model of the computer?

Refer to the links and follow steps  to resolve the Blue screen error issue:
Resolving stop (blue screen) errors in Windows 7
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Resolving-stop-blue-screen-errors-in-Windows-7

Important: While performing chkdsk on the hard drive if any bad sectors are found on the hard drive when chkdsk tries to repair that sector if any data available on that might be lost

Note: Reinstalling Windows 7 will delete any programs you've installed and will restore the default Windows settings. You'll need to restore your user files, and reinstall any programs you've installed using the original installation discs or files.

For Windows Update issue, try the methods and check.

I would like to tell you that Error 0x00000116 is the VIDEO_TDR_ ERROR. Issue could be related to video graphics card driver.

Method 2:
Refer to the link and follow steps:
"Windows Update Cannot Check For Updates" error message when you try to install updates

Method 3:
Try to run [System File Checker] SFC scan on the computer which would scan for corrupt system files on the computer and replace them.

Please post a copy of your dumpfile as shared file to your Sky Drive with a link here.

You may need to change your settings in Windows to be able to see the file. To show hidden files type Folder Options in the search box above the Start button and select View, Advanced Settings and verify that the box before "Show hidden files and folders" is checked and "Hide protected operating system files" is unchecked. You may need to scroll down to see the second item. You should also make certain that the box before "Hide extensions for known file types" is not checked.

What is your computer make and model? If not a branded computer what is your motherboard make and model?

Please download and run Driver View and upload a copy of the report it produces to your Sky Drive.

http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/driverview.html

Please provide a copy of your System Information file. Type System Information in the Search Box above the start Button and press the ENTER key. Select File, Export and give the file a name noting where it is located. Please upload to your Sky Drive, share with everyone and post a link here. The request for a copy of this file is additional to answering the question about make and model.

Please say if you need help with using Sky Drive.

I've not done anything yet for the BSOD, but I tried to fix the windows updates with help from your links, but it didn't work. .....I had tried to troubleshoot windows updates for any problems. After completion, it said that "Windows Updates Components Need to be Reparied''  so I went online and found a ''Fix it''... I clicked Run Now, it went for a few minutes then stopped working. I tried again and it poped up the same error message. I tried going into the Troubleshooting folder in the control panel, but it wouldn't work.
