Windows 10 Security Update Fail

The recent security update which is KB4577671 always fails to install both manual install and windows setting update install. I also tried some other things like redownloading the file, disabling non Microsoft services(including the antivirus program), and installing it from another user which has less programs installed, still wont work for my PC. Any other solutions?

My PC's specs(if important):

Intel Celeron N3350

2GB RAM (70%-75% used when idle)

500GB Storage (115GB Free)

Hi JeremyEnjaynes,

My name is Darren; an Independent Consultant, I'm here to help you with your problem.

Firstly, please try running the troubleshooter:
Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Select troubleshoot tab > under "get up and running", click on windows update > click on run the troubleshooter and follow on-screen directions.

Next, please follow the steps on this guide to reset windows update and try updating again (Take note that you will need to run the command prompt as an administrator):
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deploy...

However, if the issue still persists, you can try using Windows Media Creation Tool to update your pc. (There is an option to keep all files and apps)
Please refer to the following link and click on download tool now under "Create Windows 10 installation media":
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

After download, run the Media Creation Tool then select "upgrade this pc now" and click on next. It will download the latest window and then install it. But before installation, it will allow you to choose between keep all files and apps, keep all apps only or clean installation.

I hope this helps. If this is not exactly what you need, please explain more so that I can help you better.

Thanks

I forgot to mention I already did troubleshooting but it only says detected not fixed so it probably didn't change anything.

Haven't tried media creation tool but I'm wondering if that process uninstalls all third party programs/apps?

Nope, it doesn't. Just make sure you select the "keep all files and apps" option.

Im sorry but these steps are way beyond than my experiences with PC so I have to stop or I might brick my laptop.

I also noticed when I search windows media creation tool the first link has a quote at the bottom saying "You've been routed to this page because the operating system you're using wont support the windows 10 media creation tool..." so I guess that step is a skip.

Is there any other easy solution? Can I just ignore the security update and wait for another update?
