Hello all! I hope I am posting this is the correct area, if not forgive me.
I am trying to help a friend who is trying to remove a Ramdisk. When you start up the computer it gives you two choices.
Windows 7
Ramdisk Device Options
I am trying to remove the Ramdisk Device Options. When you choose the RDO it is just a black screen and nothing happens.
I have check the HD and it is not set to compressed. They said it was like that after they did a complete new install of Windows 7.
Where can I find Ramdisk in order to just remove this so their computer will start up normally?
Thank you very much for your time and information!
If yes, then I would suggest you to contact your system manufacturer and check if it’s required on the computer.
Lets try this steps and check if it helps in fixing your issue.
Click on start > type in cmd in search box > right click on command prompt and then click on Run as administrator.
In the command prompt type in
bcdedit ,
hit Enter.
Once you hit enter, check in
Description if it shows as Ramdisk driver. If yes then you may first have to collect the id, which is given in
Resumeobject, after which you can go ahead and delete the boot entry.
Follow the command to delete the boot entry: bcdedit
/delete (enter ID)
