Hi,
First of all you haven't (specifically) answered Daavee's question about whether F2 to invoke BIOS setup is possible. Look for the prompt immediately after power up but before Windows starts to load. Keep hitting F2 just after power up, twice a second. Does this get you into BIOS setup? This will help identify whether or not this is a hardware problem or a Windows problem. To be sure, repeat this test 2 or 3 times if you cannot get into BIOS on the first attempt.
When you used a PS/2 keyboard, did you plug it into a green socket or a purple socket?
EDIT: Also, PS/2 devices are not guaranteed to work unless connected before booting the PC.

Sorry for the delayed response I've been working out of town. So I bought a USB keyboard and can access the Bios with F2, the keyboard works within the setup menu. I tried to enter into safemode and still can't enter my password to get past the windows login.
One final note: I am not a newbie you are dealing with nor am I MCSE or A+ certified. I fall into that danger zone as you "techies" or wanna be "techies" like to say. So responses like did you check the batteries or did you plug the keyboard into the green or purple socket are insulting.
I do appreciate the help here just take away the newbie questions and help me if you can.
Thank you!

So how are we to supposed to gauge your technical expertise? Sorry for insulting you.
I will not be contributing anything more for fear of making further insulting replies.
