I'm in build 10240, which I believe to be the final build if I'm not too mistaken, and I'm getting the above error when I try to log in.
I've been on this build for a little while now with no such error on this one nor any before it, but then today my start menu just wasn't coming up. I thought it was just a bug with Windows Explorer so I opened up Task Manager and restarted it, nothing. I then restarted my system, but now when I sign in I get the error written in the title and I'm being told an attempt to fix it will be made when I sign in again, this isn't doing anything.
So now I'm pretty stuck, with some trickery in Windows Explorer I'm able to open things like Google Chrome and Powershell if necessary but the error box won't go away. And seeing as that I cannot open the start menu I have no idea how I'm meant to get into the settings if anything needs doing there.
I ran the System File Checker as described here https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/929833 and this was the result:
"Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."
Has anyone got any solutions for this? And even more, this bug has been reported in some previous builds without no official fix or patch, if 10240 really is the final build then how can Microsoft release this in only 5 days with such a critical bug?
