No option to remove an old email listed as an alias

I have an old email account listed as an alias (though I never really added it as such, but anyway...) and I never bothered with it until now, as I notice there's no way to remove it.

I mean, it's listed in Outlook/options/email accounts as a send only alias but if I go and try to manage the aliases on ms account/notifications/email it's not there. I've tried changing the remove url of another alias with this one, but that didn't work either.

Thanks on any help with removing it.

Hi Philibert d.,

Please refer to the steps below on how to remove an alias:

1. Login your account using this link "https://account.live.com".
2. Click “Notifications” located at the left side of the page.
3. Click “Manage email preferences”.
4. If you find the email address, please hit the “Remove” link under the email address.

Thanks,

Joannie

Thanks for the reply, but if you read my second paragraph, I don't have that option. The alias is listed within Outlook, but it's not in the MS account options, so I can't remove it...

I have 4 Outlook aliases, dont one useless (the one I want to remove); and only 3 aliases listed in the MS account options.

Hi Philibert,

Please be advised that, the alias that you provided in the private message area has been deleted as an alias from your primary account. And upon checking, the account does not exist on our system as well.

Thank you.

Thanks for the reply.

Though, I still see it listed. Is this change something that might take some time to reflect in the system?

Not at all. it's an email address I used (spam dump) years ago but not anymore.

Also, I don't remember actively adding that address to the account (back in the hotmail days), but somehow one day it appeared there and never bothered with it till recently, when I tried to remove it but couldn't find an option to.

I really don't know how it ever got there in the first place.
