HOW TO FORMAT A RAW FILE SYSTEM PEN DRIVE TO FAT32 FILE SYSTEM

I have a pen drive of Sandisk which is formatted by mistek in raw Format, So plaese tell me that how to i can convert it from raw to fat 32 system. i'm waiting for your answer.

USB drives and SD Disks are best formatted with a tool specifically designed for that purpose. HP has a tool with external USB drives in mind and can format in FAT32 or NTFS. Looking for an .EXE file downloaded from the Internet can be a bit daunting so I've uploaded the copy that I use to my SkyDrive and made it available at the link below.


This is a stand-alone .EXE that does not require installation to run. Note that you will have to provide administrator rights to use the above. This provides the elevated permissions necessary for formatting on a Widows 7 system.

On a related note, SD Disks should be formatted with a special formatting tool that retains the reserved Protected Area that helps makes them secure (the S in SD). The best place for an SD card formatting tool is from SDCard.org at the link below.
