stacked footer

Hello Everyone,

I am currently taking a class that teachers students the many features that MS Word has to offer. One of my assignments is calling for me to insert a stack footer/header. When I click on insert header/footer, and scroll down the list of types, I am simply not seeing one that is called stack header/footer. Would any of you know how I can insert such a header/footer. I have office 365 university. Any help that you can provide on such matter would be greatly appreciated.

Best,

Bea

If by stacked, you mean just that it has more than one line, then you can just create it from scratch. Don't try to use one of the Header/Footer building blocks; instead, just double-click in the header area (or right-click and choose Edit Header) and then type/insert whatever text or fields you want in the header.

I've been working with versions of Word for more than 20 years and have never heard of a "stack header/footer." Do you have a text that uses this term?

"stacks" would be the header/footer style that they are asking about. It is used by the Official Microsoft Academic Course- Exam 77-881: Microsoft Word 2010 (p.185)
