In Microsoft Word 2013, I can't copy images from the internet into a word document.

I have Office 365 University. I can't copy and paste an image into a word document. I need to do this for school and its creating a serious inconvenience.

While you should be able to copy/paste or drag an image into Word, another option is to right-click on the image and choose Save As. Save it to your My Pictures folder and then use Insert | Illustrations | Pictures to insert the picture you saved. When you save the picture, note that the default filename (the one used for the online image) may be something you would not recognize, so you may want to change the filename when you save it.

I can copy paste images from internet to 2013 documents.  So it is not an inherent limitation.

So exactly what happens happens when you try to paste images?  Can you paste the same image into other application, like WordPad?

When I paste an image into a word document al I get is a blank box or nothing at all. Also I can copy images into other programs like PowerPoint and what not.

OK, Are you working in "Print Layout" view?  Try Web Layout.

Also take a look in File menu > Options command > Advanced option > Show Document Content section. Make sure that "Show Picture Placeholders" is not turned on.

I have tried this - it didn't work.  I'm guessing there's a setting somewhere in the options for Word that I'm missing...HELP!
