Word 2013 Print Inline changes without comments or formatting bubbles

Hi,

I am trying to print a pdf of a Word 2013 document with inline changes only. However, every time I try to do this, I get the formatting bubbles to the right, and they are cut off the page. I just want the pdf with the changes marked inline. Thanks!

You should be able to get what you want with the following settings:

  1. On the Review tab, in the Tracking group, change from Simple Markup to All Markup.
  2. Under Show Markup, uncheck everything except Insertions and Deletions.
  3. Under Show Markup | Balloons, select Show All Revisions Inline.
  4. If you don't want change bars displayed, click the dialog launcher (small arrow in the bottom right corner) in the Tracking group.
  5. The Track Change Options dialog should be set like this:
  6. Click Advanced Options...
  7. In the Advanced Track Changes Options dialog, under Markup, set Changed lines to "(none)."
  8. Make sure Insertions are set to "Underline" and Deletions to "Strikethrough."
  9. Click OK twice to exit.

Check Print Preview to confirm that the PDF will be what you expect.

OK I think I found an unusual solution.

I found that some of the fonts in an affected document were not installed on the computer.  After installing those fonts, the document printed normally.

I have no idea why that worked.
