Word 2013 File/Share/Email/Attach PDF defaults to AOL client though default is Outlook

When trying to email a document, any document, from WORD using the File/Share/Email/Attach PDF, it brings up the AOL email client rather than Outlook.  Outlook is set as the default email handler and also as the mailto default.
Any fixes would be appreciated.

Are you able to send email from other applications through Outlook as email client?

In which email program is the AOL account is configured?

 

Check for the option within that program to change the email client option.

 

Ensure you have set Outlook 2013 ad default mail client in all the options mentioned in the methods below:

 

Method 1:-Set as default within outlook.

On the Office Outlook, click on File > Options.

Under General, select the Make Outlook the default program for E-mail, Contacts, and Calendar check box.

 

Method 2:- Set as default from the internet explorer.

Start Internet Explorer.

On the View menu, click Internet Options.

Click the Programs tab.

In the Mail list, click Microsoft Office Outlook.

Click OK.

 

Method 3:- Set as default from control panel.

Navigate to Control Panel\Programs\Default Programs\Set Default Programs

Click on the outlook icon on the left hand side.

Set as default.

I actually want to use AOL but it automatically goes to Outlook 2013 which I have not setup and does not send.  

 

Can anyone help?

I think Word can use only a local mail client. Do you use AOL through the Web, or do you have a locally installed mail editor?

Am trying to set Outlook as the default email client ..but no matter what i do it defaults to AOL.

I am using locally installed AOL 9.7
