Printing Problem - what i see on screen does not print out

When I view the MS WORD 2013 document in print preview, the graphic is visible.  When I print it out, there are no graphics (logo, colored header or footer).

 

I have converted the document from 2003 to 2013, I have changed my "view" to see it every which way......I  have started out with a 2013 version of the document. 

 

What am I missing??

In File>Options>Display>Printing options, make sure that you have check marks in the boxes for "Print drawings created in Word" and "Print background colors and images"

I did this - it worked.  Then I saved the document and went back in and the headings/graphics once again were not visible......

If backgrounds are the issue, then, in order to see them in Print Layout view (as opposed to Print Preview), you also have to check "Show background colors and images in Print Layout view" at File | Options | Advanced: Show document content. If you have "white space between pages" suppressed,  you will not see header content anywhere on the page (that includes watermarks).

I tried this and it did NOT work. Background image does NOT print. Also, "Save as PDF" does not save background.

Help, please. Thank you.
