To see which fonts are included in various Microsoft products, go to http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fonts/. It's possible that the font you are looking for was provided by some non-Microsoft product.

The font is COPPERPLATE GOTHIC BOLD.  If you Google for it, there are various sites from which you can download it.

What happens if you open one of the files and then use Save As and from the Save as type: dropdown, you select PDF (*.pdf)?

Or, use File>Export>Create PDF/XPS Document

Hope this helps,

Hi Doug

Could you suggest a copper gate font download as the one I tried took over my browser . ive got rid of it now but they it would appear try and make their choice of browser yours

I am surprised that coppergate bold is not in the home and student 2013 word

it was in the word software preceding word 2013 and its in 365 but then Microsoft wanted a yearly subscription

as for the PDF conversion, again it was in 365

I save the built doc to" save as" location

then I click export

create PDF/XPS

then click publish

the prog then displays

"could not open file no program is associated with this file type"

I am flummoxed !! to say the least

I need both this font type and the ability to convert word to PDF for my website

thank you for your help

Do you have Adobe Reader on the machine?

Alternatively, in the File>Save As dialog, after you select PDF (*.pdf), uncheck the box before "Open file after publishing".

Hope this helps,

Hello Stefan I have looked at your link the font sizes in coppergate gothic bold that I need are 12 and 26 not quite sure which sizes to go for in their list could you assist me on selecting these two font sizes but why in office 365 which I had( and have not gone for the renewal of the subscription) it had this font type on but yet student 2013 has not ? the earlier versions of word also have this font I have a website and have selected this font type for the build so its either revert back to the earlier word progs or pay these prices another issue I had upgraded to windows 8.1 on the latest 8.1 update it completely corrupted my website build software and just for the **** of it disconnected my browser having had enough of 8.1 my website software had started to freeze up in mid build since I moved from 7 to 8.1 I threw the teddy out of the cot and went for a 27 inch mac Im using parallels software with windows 7 in this virtual desktop and up to press it is behaving itself bar for this word issue (assuming it is a fault with this setup) However on my mac desktop I have home and student 13 for mac and whilst I can build to PDF I cannot get it to produce the colour page in PDF that I see in the word doc!!!!!! any ideas regards

As I wrote, I don't think the font you are looking for is included with Word or Windows (not any recent version at least).

Note that TrueType and OpenType fonts don't install particular sizes; you can specify the font size you want from within programs. In Word, to use a font size that isn't listed, just type it into the Font Size box (on the Home tab) and press Enter.

True, but the original poster did specify some other font (although it may very well have been a typo of course).
