Margins not same on word document

When printing a word document the margins are not printing the same. Left and bottom and wider than top and right. It looks same on print preview but when printed not the same.
The left / right margin may be the result of a "gutter" margin allocation.

Have you checked the margin assignments in Page Layout tab > Page Setup group > Margins dropdown > Custom margins command.

Does the document contain "markup" (tracked changes or comments)? If so, and if you have balloons enabled, then Word condenses the page to allow a larger margin for the markup.
