How to create an own Text Box style ?

How can I permanently modify the style of the built-in Simple Text Box in my standard word template, e.g. with different background color or margins? Or is it possible to define an own Text Box style which will appear in the Insert - Text Box selection ?

Many thanks for your ideas.

I don't believe you can change the built-in building blocks, but you can certainly create your own. Either start with one of the built-in ones or use Draw Text Box to start from scratch. When you have all the details to your satisfaction, click on Insert | Text | Text Box again and choose "Save Selection to Text Box Gallery."

In the ensuing dialog, you can enter an appropriate name and choose where to save the text box. If you save it in "General" (which is the default), the text box will appear at the bottom of the gallery, below all the built-in text boxes, but if you choose the "Built-in" category and begin the name with an underline, such as "_My Text Box," it will sort to the top and appear just to the right of the Simple Text Box.
