APA 6th edition update to 8th edition

is there an update for the apa 6th edition as it is practically out dated and i need the 8th version for my degree thesis is there an official update for the apa citation and caption system? 
The sixth edition is the latest edition of the official APA style manual (see http://www.apastyle.org/manual/index.aspx). If I google for "apa 8th ed," I get a link to http://www.amazon.com/Little-Brown-Handbook-Update-Edition/dp/0321125541, which is the 8th edition of the Little, Brown handbook, actually published in 2002; perhaps that is what has confused you?
