4th heading not working properly in word 2013. ..

hello all ... i just want to know that how can i adjust the heading space ... first 3 headings are good but 4th one is not accurate as i want ... please tell me how can i manage to remove the space between heading number and heading ... in the image you can see that images heading is good but image1 and image 2 heading are not accurate i.e. there is too much space in them ... thnxxx in advance ... :)

Click on the Show\Hide button (¶) in the Paragraph section of the Home tab of the ribbon so that you can see what appears in that space?

It may be cause by the paragraph formatting of the Heading 4 style, which may be set to have space after it, but not to have space added between paragraphs of the same style.

It also may be caused by the formatting of the style used for the paragraph containing the text "why is there so much space ???", which may be formatted to have space before it.

Hope this helps,

Most likely, the digits occupy so much space that the text following the number gets pushed to the next (default) tab stop. To fix this, you'll have to adjust the indentation for level 4 numbers. Click in the first Heading 1 paragraph of your document, and then click Home tab | Multilevel List | Define New Multilevel List (the command, misleading as it is, should be used even when you edit a multilevel list). In the dialog box, adjust the settings for (in particular) "Text indent at" and "Add tab stop at." See also http://shaunakelly.com/word/numbering/numbering20072010.html.

See http://WordFAQs.mvps.org/NumberAlignment2007.htm. You need to adjust the Indent/Tab Space After of the numbering level.
