Unwanted double borders around some tables

... without having put them there. The border controls do not affect them. I don't know what they're for and removing them is a hassle. Anyone?

Answer
Perhaps the table is nested within another table? If the table is not very complex, the easiest workaround is probably to convert it to text and then back to a table. When you convert to text, you'll get a check box (checked by default) for "Convert nested tables."
