stop "hover" when pasting

When using cut and paste feature on text, the paste icon "hovers" over the area to which I just pasted some text. Is there a way to stop this icon from hovering?

You can press ESC to hide the Paste Options button immediately.

If you don't ever want to see the Paste Options button, click the arrow in the button and then click "Set Default Paste." This takes you to the Options section for "Cut, copy, and paste," where you can clear the box for "Show Paste Options button when content is pasted."
